Speech- Language Pathologist (SLP) & Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
TX Speech Pathways Midlothian, TX Contract/1099
TX Speech Pathways is a growing pediatric-focused clinic in Midlothian, Texas serving children and families with a full range of communication needs — from articulation and language to feeding, fluency, voice, and AAC. Founded and led by a licensed SLP, we are a collaborative, family-centered practice built on clinical excellence, consistent client care, and team support.
We are expanding our team and looking for experienced, licensed clinicians who are ready to step into a stable clinic setting with a reliable and growing client pipeline.
Who This Role is Built For
This is a contract (1099) position — and we want to be upfront about what that means and who thrives here.
This role is an excellent fit if you are:
- A fully licensed SLP or credentialed SLPA looking to transition out of home health or school-based work and into the stability of a clinic setting
- A clinician who currently has a part-time role or supplemental income and is ready to build toward full-time clinic hours as your caseload grows
- An experienced professional who values consistent scheduling, no windshield time, and a collaborative teamover traditional employment benefits
- Someone interested in long-term growth — including supervisory responsibilities and expanded adult services as the clinic grows.
- Important: Because all SLPs must hold an active Texas license and all SLPAs must hold their state credential, we are not currently able to consider recent graduates who have not yet obtained full licensure/certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a full-time position? Currently, roles begin as part-time contract positions with an average caseload of 20 clients. As the clinic grows, full-time opportunities will develop. Candidates who already have supplemental income (part-time school, home health PRN, or other clinical work) are well-positioned to transition into this role while their TX Speech Pathways caseload builds.
Why 1099 and not W-2? As a growing clinic, the 1099 structure allows us to offer competitive per-session rates and scheduling flexibility while the practice scales. Our goal is to grow the team and the compensation structure together.
What licensure is required? Active Texas licensure is required at time of hire. SLPs must hold a current Texas SLP license. SLPAs must hold a current Texas SLPA credential. We are unable to consider candidates who have not yet completed licensure.
Is remote work available? Most pediatric roles are in-office at our Midlothian location. Select telehealth and home health roles are available as we expand into adult services
